Tournament RulesWe are hoping for 12 teams total which means 24 to 36 players (see below).
If we end up with more or less teams than 12, we will make adjustments to tournament grouping structure and maps. We will keep all participants updated on this as the registration period comes to an end.
The minimum roster size is 2 players and the maximum is 3 players. Teams must submit roster changes before it's within 48 hours of their group's schedule match time.
All roster change requests can be e-mailed to myth.valor.2026[at]gmail.com.
For the 6-start maps: Teams can have up to 2 players in the game. Teams must NOT have their 3rd player join these games even if they aren't getting any units. This is due to the 16 player limit per game in Myth and to make it easy for substitutes and tournament officials to get in and out of games.
For the 4-start maps: All 3 players on a team can join and play every game! This is especially encouraged as some maps will be easier to play with 3 people.
If a team can only field one player: During the first 2 rounds they must compete on their own. No substitute teammates. We will try to schedule the Final Round groups to where we can best avoid this from happening but substitute teammates will be allowed in the finals with approval from Valor tournament staff ONLY.
All players are welcome regardless of skill or experience level. There are also no restrictions whatsoever based on anything on a personal level and never will be. Video games are for everyone. As long as you're not banned from Bagrada.net then you're welcome to register.
That said...
Hate speech, threats of violence and any form of abuse otherwise towards anyone is not tolerated. Valor staff reserve the right at any given point in time during the tournament to remove a player from all eligibility thus banning them from all Valor tournament games moving forward. Once a player is banned they can no longer be in any Valor tournament game in any capacity - neutral host, observer, substitute, roster player, etc. They may also face disciplinary action by Bagrada.net staff should an incident occur.
Teams that have a player banned during the tournament have until within 24 hours of their next match to find a replacement player. If a banned player causes a roster size reduction to a single player that team will have to play the round with that 1 remaining player if another player cannot be found fast enough. No substitutions. The only exception is for the Final Round where one or more substitute(s) can play those games to fill the roster gap and keep games balanced.
If another team adds a banned player under a different account to their roster, this will result in that team being given all forfeits for the week of play. Teams that repeat the offense will be ejected from the tournament. This will also result in being reported to Bagrada.net staff.
At the end of the day, it's only a game and other player's level of seriousness may vary greatly.
Eligible players can be officially registered with only 1 team at a time. If a player has been found to have played for two or more different teams at the same time, they will be disqualified from the tournament effective immediately.
Teams may substitute for forfeiting or abandoning teams when approved to do so by Valor staff. Substitute teams cannot be used when a team has at least 1 (ONE) of their players available for a game. "Rabble" substitute teams are allowed but all players must be registered Valor players.
Teams in other groups may sub in during the same round barring there are no time conflicts. This does not apply in the Final Round.
Substitute teams of a much higher skill level than the forfeiting/abandoning team are not allowed without Valor staff approval. There can be exceptions made, for example when only a player or players of high skill are available to sub which would be acceptable to avoid not having a full complement of teams.
Valor tournament officials always have final say on subs.
There are 3 rounds total with each round being 1 week long. All games for a round will be played on the same day unless otherwise noted due to any unexpected technical problem (e.g. Bagrada.net down, internet/service outage, etc.). The days leading up to a group time should be used for scheduling change requests and roster management.
For the Final Round, there will be a Champions group and a Consolation group. The Champions group consists of the top 6 ranked teams after 2 rounds. The Consolation group consists of the next best 6 teams. Both groups will play for prizes!
During the first 2 rounds, the first 5 games will be 6-start maps. The 6th and final game of the round will be a 4-start map played the top 4 scoring teams for the round only.
Groupings will be set by Valor staff based on team's chosen match days/times and previous groupings. You may face some of the same opponents in both Rounds 1 and 2.
The scoring for the final round determines the champion and runners-up, not their overall rank or points earned during the qualifying rounds. The only way overall rank can have an impact in the final round is for tie-break procedure.
The final round will consist of 7 games. The first 5 games will be 6-start maps and after these have been played the 2 lowest scoring teams will be eliminated. The remaining 4 teams will play two 4-start maps. There are no bonuses or bonus games in the Final Round for either group.
See Scoring details for more information.
All games will be played over the internet using the Bagrada.net metaserver. Teams can only register players with valid Bagrada.net accounts.
We recommend reaching out on Bagrada.net's Discord to connect with other players if you're looking for a team to join and/or to get assistance with using the metaserver!
All games must be played in rooms marked with the TOURNAMENT or FILM label on Bagrada.net. Doing so will save films automatically and help speed up the scoring process.
If both room types are unavailable, the alternative will be playing games in ranked rooms. Do not play games in a fully unranked room that does not have the FILMS label!
Round tie-breaks are for settling who advances to the Bonus and 4-start Final Round games. Overall tie-breaks are when 2 or more teams are tied in overall rankings (most points) to determine the 12 teams that will advance to the Final Round.
In game types where 2 or more teams can finish with ties, the final placements will be determined by damage given. If 2 or more teams have the same amount of damage and the same placement, the kill:loss ratio will be used.
Example: In a game of stampede, 3 teams finish with a tie score due to not getting any of their stampede units to safety. Team A finishes with 175 damage given and 0.93 kill:loss ratio. Meanwhile, Team B and Team C both finished with 90 damage given but with ratios of 0:30 and 1.09 respectively. The final placement would end up like so:
If 2 or more teams are tied following the fourth or final game, damage totals will be used to rank each team. This means if you have more damage, you will place higher if tied in points. In the unlikely case of teams being tied in points and damage, the tied team's overall rankings will be used as the tie-breaker.
Tie-breaks in overall rankings are decided by 3 different methods in this precedence:
If a team no-shows to one or more of their group's scheduled games a substitute team will be gathered to fill in for them to keep games balanced but their points will not count for the forfeiting team.
Only official neutral observers, designated game hosts and registered players for scheduled teams may be allowed in games. If a game starts and a team has a non-teammate player or players observing or there are otherwise one or more unapproved observers then the game must be re-hosted. The unapproved player(s) must be booted from the game before restarting.
Passwords may be used to prevent all non-match participant players from joining.
Players and neutral observers can only live stream games with a minimum 3 minute delay. This is to avoid active participants from watching and gaining an unfair advantage.
Teams that are caught publicly streaming without use of a delay will be forced to forfeit all points scored for the week's games. Repeat offenders may face further discipline including removal from the tournament entirely should they be caught again.
Unless specified otherwise the following settings will be used for ALL games:
Games using one or more alternate setting(s) have a note explaining the change on the Maps By Round page.
The maximum amount of teams allowed should match the amount of starts for the map being played.
Passwords may be used to avoid neutral observers joining during games and potentially causing a crash (a known bug in Myth as of August 2026).
Saving films is not required as they should be saved automatically on Bagrada.net.
Players can keep scores as games progress but are not required to. We will try to have a Valor tournament official observe all matches and they should be able to provide live scoring updates. That said, official results will be pulled from Bagrada.net and saved in our system automatically after rounds are complete.
Valor staff will set the groupings and their match times from the pre-scheduled day/time slots teams selected when they registered. We will accept rescheduling requests or work with teams to swap groups. Otherwise, be there or lose points for forfeiting.
In the event that Bagrada.net is down for more than 10 minutes past a round's scheduled start time or more than 10 minutes after a round has started, the group will be rescheduled for a later date to start/finish.
If there are not enough total players to populate all start spots on a map (scheduled group players and substitutes combined), the match will be rescheduled for a later date.
If less than 4 teams show up to the rescheduled start time, and there are not enough substitute teams available, each team that showed up will automatically receive 8 points towards their overall score.
Each team is allowed to request ONE (1) REHOST per round, as long as it is within the first 2 minutes of the game.
Make sure the host for the game is suitable for all players before playing the first game.
The first game of the round should start no later than 10 minutes after the scheduled start time. After the first game, the maximum wait time between games is 5 minutes.
If the game goes OOS for one or more team(s) within the first three minutes of the game, then the game must be rehosted. No team will be charged a rehost for this.
If one or more players playing in the game go OOS, and the time is beyond the first three minutes, the game will be ended prematurely and the scores will be taken down using the current standings for that game. The host should proceed with the next game of the round afterward.
If only spectators (not players actually involved in the game) are experiencing OOS problems, the game must go on and spectators should leave immediately.
When a host crash occurs the game must be replayed ONLY under these conditions:
If these 2 conditions are not met when the host crashes during a game, the game will be considered over and scores calculated based on placements at the time the crash occurred.
If there is a dispute for any reason then the involved player(s) must contact a Valor tournament official immediately for a review and decision on how to proceed.
If there is not a tournament official on Bagrada.net at the time of the dispute, please try to reach a tournament official on the Bagrada.net Discord server or email myth.valor.2026[at]gmail.com.
For any incident of collusion we will make official judgments based on film reviews. Teams may make movements and attack other teams at-will within reason. That is to say, teams taking actions during the game are doing so purely for tactical and scoring reasons to try to better their placement and/or earn a bonus.
It's a part of free-for-all games to attack more than one person, or sometimes better solidify your position by becoming a 3rd team in on a battle. That said, we will not hesitate to penalize teams for obvious free flag/ball tags or collusion otherwise with another team. Potential consequences include point reductions and tournament disqualification.
If a team pushes a ball into an object or off the edge of a map, regardless if it was a mistake or intentional and the ball is either uncontestable and/or no longer on the overhead map, the ball will not be counted for any team. The ball will most likely not be able to be moved back onto the map after disappearing into an object that is part of the map. Even if a ball can be contested after being meshed on the edge of a map, it WILL NOT COUNT for any team.
This rule only applies if such situations were to occur, there is a different rule for balls that are still on the overhead map and viewable by players in the game, but cannot be contested by any available units in the map's unit trade.
The same rules above will apply, however, the team that commits the offense of meshing the ball will receive last place for the game and last place points.
Teams are allowed to move balls onto hills or onto high-rise objects as long as they are contestable by the opposing team(s)' units. It must also still be viewable on the overhead map and NOT meshed or pushed off the edge of the map where it is no longer contestable.
Teams are not allowed to push balls to an area of a map where none of the available units on the map can reach it. Available units means any type of unit that can be traded for, not what unit types remain in an in-progress game.
If a team moves a ball onto terrain that cannot be reached by any of the available units for the map being played, the ball will be ruled out of play and will not be counted for any of the playing teams. The team that put the ball into that position will be assessed a -1 point deduction but still keep the placement score and bonuses they earned.
If a ball is meshed before any other team has a chance to tag it and/or before 3 minutes have passed, the game will be replayed.
If a team intentionally repeats the act of meshing ball(s) or moving ball(s) to a location where no available units can reach it, they will face disqualification from the tournament following a full review of the film(s) by Valor staff.
In Myth it's possible for balls and flags to get stuck in an area where 2 or more different types of units on different teams can all contest together indefinitely and not be in range of attack. In other words, one or more team(s) would have to leave the contest range or commit to an unwinnable fight.
If the ball is located on an area of deep water or on a hill where sudden death will last indefinitely, all teams must evacuate the area so the game can end. The teams involved - the remaining teams within contest range - will be sorted in rank per their damage totals in the game.
Flags and Balls that are the subject of an infinite contest will not be counted towards any team's final score. The two or more units stuck in the area of an infinite contest must evacuate the area so the game can end. In this case, even though a certain team last touched a ball when evacuating the area, they will not receive credit for it. In which case, their perm score will have to be the same as a team with an amount of one-less flags/balls, and from their points will be awarded per damage scores to break ties. Again, this is ONLY in the case of infinite contests, NOT in the case of teams camping around an unmovable ball and not committing to fight their opponents.
